New Build

Planning Application

The redevelopment of St Helen’s Primary School is being funded by the Department for Education as part of the School Rebuilding Programme. Galliford Try has been selected by the Department for Education to design and build the new school.

The proposed redevelopment includes the erection of a new 2 storey building with reconfigured landscaping and increased car and cycle parking provision. The existing buildings are being replaced and will be demolished once the new building has been built.

There will be no change to staff and pupil numbers as a result of the redevelopment.

The new school building will help to tackle climate change through minimising energy demand and using low carbon and renewable energy solutions.
